Kirill Serebrennikov is a Russian film and theatre director whose work has competed at the Cannes Film Festival four times. His films include Summer (2018), Petrov's Flu (2021), Tchaikovsky's Wife (2022), and Limonov: The Ballad (2024). He was placed under house arrest in Russia between 2017 and 2022 on charges widely seen as politically motivated, and has since lived in exile.
