Kieran Kyle Culkin (born September 30, 1982, in New York City) is an American actor who built his career playing sardonic yet deeply human characters on stage and screen. He became a household name as Roman Roy in HBO's Succession (2018-2023), winning the Primetime Emmy for Lead Actor in a Drama Series, and then won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Jesse Eisenberg's A Real Pain (2024). His other accolades include a BAFTA Award and two Golden Globes.
Culkin was confirmed as a member of the star-studded cast of Nancy Meyers' new film for Warner Bros. alongside Penelope Cruz, Jude Law, and Owen Wilson; the premiere is scheduled for Christmas 2027.
Culkin and his wife Jazz Charton welcomed their third child; the news was confirmed by his Succession colleague Sarah Snook.
Culkin was cast as Caesar Flickerman in the Hunger Games prequel Sunrise on the Reaping (premiere November 20, 2026), where he will take over the role that Stanley Tucci played in the four original films.
Culkin played Richard Roma in the Broadway revival of Mamet's play Glengarry Glen Ross alongside Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr; the production played to sold-out houses.
At the 97th Academy Awards ceremony, Culkin won the award for Best Supporting Actor for Jesse Eisenberg's film A Real Pain.
