About

Khyr Brothers are a blues-jazz-rock band from Opava built around brothers Jan Khýr (guitar, vocals) and Václav Khýr (drums, vocals), with Vojtěch Špiller on trumpet and František Komárek on bass. Their set mixes original songs with settings of Czech poetry by Oldřich Mikulášek and Josef Kainar. Stylistically they draw comparisons to Robben Ford. In 2026 they reached the Blues Alive festival in Šumperk after finishing in the top three at Blues Aperitiv.
