Keiko Takeshita (竹下景子; born September 15, 1953, in Nagoya) is a Japanese actress who has worked steadily in film and television since the early 1970s. She is internationally recognized for her recurring voice work with Studio Ghibli, lending her voice to characters in Arrietty (2010), From Up on Poppy Hill (2011), The Wind Rises (2013), and The Boy and the Heron (2023). Her live-action career includes a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Japan Academy Film Prize for Yoji Yamada's A Class to Remember (1994).
The film Grandma's Secret (おばあちゃんの秘密), in which Takeshita plays the lead role, had its Japanese premiere on July 4, 2026.
Takeshita also appeared in 2026 in the film Fujiko, where she plays the character Hatayama.
In August 2025, Takeshita performed in the theatrical play 5. května (5月35日) at the Kichijoji Shiatā theater in Tokyo.
In February 2025, it was announced that the film Grandma's Secret would be filmed with Takeshita in the lead role; the story takes place in Niigata Prefecture.
On December 31, 2024, Takeshita participated in a special memorial segment of the 75th NHK Kōhaku dedicated to the late actor Nishida Toshiyuki.
