Keegan-Michael Key is an American actor, comedian and writer born in 1971 in Southfield, Michigan. He rose to global prominence as co-creator and star of the sketch series Key & Peele (Comedy Central, 2012-2015), which won a Peabody Award and an Emmy for outstanding variety sketch series. Beyond television, he has built a wide-ranging film career - from Toy Story 4 and Wonka to The Super Mario Bros. Movie - and has appeared on Broadway.
