Karin Lednická is a Czech writer from Karviná, known primarily for prose exploring the Silesian region and its mining heritage. She gained wide recognition with the novel trilogy Šikmý kostel, depicting the fates of inhabitants of the flooded town of Karviná-Doly. Her work has earned her several literary awards, including the Jiří Orten Prize.
