Kaizers Orchestra is a Norwegian alternative rock band formed on 1 January 2000 in Bryne, near Stavanger. The six-piece, fronted by Janove Ottesen and Geir Zahl, built a reputation as one of Norway's most compelling live acts through theatrical staging, unconventional instruments (oil barrels as percussion) and lyrics sung exclusively in Norwegian. After eight studio albums and close to a thousand concerts, the band said goodbye in 2013, then announced a comeback in November 2022 - selling 80,000 reunion-tour tickets in minutes.
Kaizers Orchestra announced a European club tour in October 2026, which includes a stop at Prague's Lucerna Music Bar (October 10, 2026).
In summer 2025, the band performed the largest concerts of their career - five stadium shows in Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim, and Copenhagen.
In October 2024, Kaizers Orchestra conducted their first American tour - five stops in Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Minneapolis, and Los Angeles.
The Norwegian comeback tour in 2023 included 56 concerts over four months, and 82,000 tickets sold out in less than fifteen minutes.
In September 2022, the 2010 single "Hjerteknuser" went viral on TikTok and climbed to second place on the Norwegian Spotify chart, prompting the band to announce a comeback.
