Yuriko Ishida (石田 ゆり子, born 3 October 1969 in Nagoya) is a Japanese actress and essayist who has worked in film and television since 1987. She is internationally recognised as the voice of San in Studio Ghibli's Princess Mononoke (1997) and won a Japan Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the 2004 film Kita no zeronen. She and her younger sister, actress Hikari Ishida, run their own production company, Fuurinsha.
On August 21, 2026, the film Gekijoban TOKYO MER: Capital Crisis, the third feature film in the series, premiered, with Ishida reprising the role of Azusa Akatsuki.
Producer Suzuki Toshio revealed in July 2026 why Ishida's voice was chosen for the role of San in Hayao Miyazaki's film Princess Mononoke.
The premiere of the drama Nanji, hoshi no gotoku (You, Like a Star) directed by Fujiie Michihita is scheduled for October 2026, with Ishida playing the role of Toko Hayashi.
In August 2025, the film Gekijoban TOKYO MER: Nankai Mission, the second feature film in the series, was released, with Ishida in the role of Azusa Akatsuki.
In October 2025, the 4K digitally remastered film Princess Mononoke was re-released in Japanese cinemas, with Ishida providing the voice for the main character San.
