Julian Hesse (born 1988 in Tegernsee, Bavaria) is a German jazz trumpeter, composer and educator based in Munich. He studied at conservatories in Amsterdam and Bern before spending a year at City College New York on a Fulbright scholarship in 2012. A member of the Jazzrausch Bigband and the Rebecca Trescher Tentet, he has worked alongside Aaron Parks, Ari Hoenig and Django Bates, and his 2021 trio album Troubleshooter was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award.
Julian Hesse Quartet will perform on September 25, 2026 at Prague's Jazz Dock as part of the Jazz of Four Continents festival.

In November 2025, Julian Hesse Quartet performed at the opening concert of the UniCredit season at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich.
Julian Hesse Quartet performed in August 2025 at Prague's Jazz Dock - it was one of the first performances of this international quartet in the Czech Republic.
Julian Hesse works as an instructor at Burghausen Jazz Courses and in March 2026 participated in a jam session there as a featured host.
