Yoshifumi Kondō was a Japanese animator and film director at Studio Ghibli, known as a close collaborator of Hayao Miyazaki. His only feature film as director was Whisper of the Heart (1995), a coming-of-age story celebrated for its warmth and craftsmanship. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 47.
