Josh Brolin (born February 12, 1968, Santa Monica) is an American actor and son of actor James Brolin. He broke through to international recognition with his role as Llewelyn Moss in the Coen brothers' No Country for Old Men (2007), then earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for Milk (2008). Wider audiences know him as Thanos in the Avengers films and as Gurney Halleck across Denis Villeneuve's Dune trilogy. In 2025 he appeared in three major releases - Weapons, The Running Man, and Wake Up Dead Man - cementing his status as one of Hollywood's most consistently busy leading men.
