Josef Šíma

Josef Šíma (1891–1971) was a Czech painter who spent most of his life in France. He was a member of the Parisian surrealist group Le Grand Jeu, and his work is characterised by lyrical, dreamlike compositions featuring light, landscape, and the human figure. He is considered one of the most important Czech visual artists of the 20th century.
