Josef Holeček (1853–1929) was a Czech writer, journalist, and translator. He is best known for his extensive novel cycle Naši (Our People), depicting rural life in southern Bohemia. He was also a prominent promoter of South Slavic literature and translated numerous Serbian and Croatian works into Czech.
