Josef Carda is a Czech actor, entertainer and voice actor born in 1956 in Ústí nad Labem. He trained at the Janáček Academy in Brno and has long been based at Divadlo Bez zábradlí in Prague. TV audiences know him as Lieutenant Sluníčko from the series Policajti z předměstí, though his biggest popular breakthrough came as the sportsman "Carda Retarda" in the comedy show Tele Tele. He also does extensive dubbing work, voicing characters such as Lenny Leonard in The Simpsons and Dwight Schrute in The Office.
