Jorge Martín Almoguera (born 29 January 1998, Madrid), nicknamed Martinator, is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer currently riding for Aprilia Racing. He won the 2024 MotoGP World Championship with the satellite Pramac Ducati team, becoming the first independent-team rider to claim the premier class title in the MotoGP era. He had previously won the 2018 Moto3 world title with Gresini Racing.
Martin before the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic in Brno admitted that after the incident in Hungary he will not be one hundred percent fit, and moreover, he must serve a double long lap penalty for causing a mass collision.
Martin won the sprint and the main race of the Grand Prix of France in Le Mans - his first Grand Prix victory since the 2024 season and also Aprilia's first victory in the history of the race on this circuit.
Motorsport.com reported that Martin is finalizing a two-year contract with the Yamaha factory team valid from the 2027 season.
Martin finished the 2025 season in 21st place in the championship after a series of four serious injuries that prevented him from competing in most races.
