Jonathan Dayton is an American film director who, together with Valerie Faris, made their feature debut Little Miss Sunshine (2006). The film won two Academy Awards and became a touchstone of American indie comedy. Dayton and Faris have worked as a directing duo since the 1980s, starting out with music videos.
