Joe Morton (born October 18, 1947, New York City) is an American actor whose career spans stage, television, and film across more than five decades. He won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for his role as the menacing Rowan Pope in Shonda Rhimes' Scandal, and earned a Tony Award nomination for the 1974 Broadway musical Raisin. Film audiences know him from Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) and Speed (1994), among over 70 screen credits.
