Jeffrey Kramer (born July 15, 1945, New York City) is an American actor and television producer best known for playing Deputy Lenny Hendricks in Steven Spielberg's Jaws (1975) and Jaws 2 (1978). In the 1990s he moved behind the camera, partnering with David E. Kelley as executive producer on Ally McBeal, The Practice, and Chicago Hope; in 1999 he became the first producer to win Emmy Awards for Best Drama and Best Comedy in the same year. He has received six Emmy nominations in total.
Kramer, as one of the original actors of Jaws, appeared in the documentary Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, which premiered on July 10, 2025 on National Geographic and has been available on Disney+ and Hulu since July 11.
Kramer (79) was spotted in April 2025 in Los Angeles wearing a cap with the inscription "Amity Police", which again recalled his iconic role in Jaws.
Kramer, as executive producer of his company Juniper Place Productions, began filming the police series H-Town for CBS, which took place from January to March 2025.
Kramer celebrated his eightieth birthday on July 15, 2025; the fan website The Daily Jaws dedicated a special article to him for this anniversary.
Kramer is involved in charitable work for the Tourette Association of America; according to the Hollywood Obsessed Podcast website, he is currently retired from Hollywood.
