Jean Sibelius

About

Jean Sibelius (1865–1957) was a Finnish composer closely associated with Finnish national identity. He wrote seven symphonies, a violin concerto, and the tone poem Finlandia. His Valse triste op. 44 is one of the most frequently performed pieces in the orchestral repertoire.
