Javier Manuel Hernandez Jr. (born February 20, 1978, in Montebello, California) is an American actor of Mexican descent who broke through with his film debut opposite Kirsten Dunst in Crazy/Beautiful (2001). He built a wide genre filmography through Hostel (2005) and Suicide Squad (2016), where he played Chato Santana / El Diablo. From 2018 to 2024 he led the CBS/NBC reboot of Magnum P.I. as Thomas Magnum across five seasons. In 2024 he stepped behind the camera for the first time, directing the apocalyptic horror thriller Night Comes, starring Dafne Keen.
