Jaroslav Patočka (born 8 January 1973 in Liberec) is a Czech bass-baritone whose warm, resonant voice suits both lyrical and dramatic roles. He studied with Grammy-winning National Theatre soloist Václav Zítek and graduated from the Pardubice Conservatory. His solo debut came in 2006 as Banco in Verdi's Macbeth at the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec; he later debuted at the Prague National Theatre as Zuniga in Bizet's Carmen. He has appeared at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, the Wexford Opera Festival, and on concert tours reaching Israel, Lebanon and South Korea.
