Janáček Quartet is one of the oldest Czech string quartets, founded in Brno in 1947 and named after Leoš Janáček. The ensemble is celebrated for its interpretations of Janáček's music as well as a broad repertoire spanning classical and contemporary works. Over the decades it has earned numerous international awards and recorded extensively for major labels worldwide.
