The Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava is a symphony orchestra based in Ostrava, Czech Republic, whose roots go back to a radio orchestra founded in 1929; it has carried its current name since 1971. With over 100 musicians, it ranks among the leading Czech orchestras and tours regularly across Europe, Asia and - since February 2026 - the United Kingdom. From the 2026/27 season Daniel Raiskin serves as chief conductor and artistic director. Its recordings on Linn Records, Supraphon and CPO have earned the BBC Music Magazine Award and the Diapason d'Or de l'Année.
