Jan Baxant is a Czech Catholic bishop, serving as the diocesan bishop of Litoměřice since 2008. He studied theology in Litoměřice and Rome and was ordained a priest in 1977. He is active in both pastoral and cultural life within his diocese and regularly presides over major church celebrations.
