Jamie Foxx (born Eric Marlon Bishop, December 13, 1967, in Terrell, Texas) is an American actor, comedian, and R&B singer - one of the rare entertainers to hold both an Oscar and a Grammy. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ray Charles in Ray (2004), and was nominated the same year for Best Supporting Actor for Collateral. His 2005 album Unpredictable topped the Billboard 200, and the single "Blame It" with T-Pain earned him a Grammy. In December 2024 he returned to the spotlight with a Netflix stand-up special, What Had Happened Was..., after a serious medical episode in 2023.
