Jakub Mudrák is a Slovak musician, theatre director and hardware developer based in Banská Bystrica, best known for creating Midilar - a modular MIDI controller with physical patch cables that bridges the tactile world of Eurorack with the virtual synthesizer VCV Rack. His music draws on electronic and ambient textures generated through modular systems, with live performances recorded directly via VCV Rack controlled by Midilar. He has released the albums Songs for Midilar (2019) and Bloom (Selected works) (2024).
The album Songs for Midilar was re-released on streaming platforms including Amazon Music in January 2025.
Mudrák released a compilation album Bloom (Selected works), available on Amazon Music and other platforms.
Mudrák introduced a new MIDI controller Midilar Knots for VCV Rack on his YouTube channel.
