Jakub Jan Ryba (1765–1815) was a Czech composer and teacher of the Classical era. He is best known for his Czech Christmas Mass "Hej, mistře!", one of the most beloved Czech choral works. He spent most of his life as a schoolteacher and organist in Rožmitál pod Třemšínem, composing a large body of sacred music including masses, oratorios, and chamber pieces.
