Jack Black (born August 28, 1969) is an American actor, comedian, and musician whose career spans cult comedies, animated blockbusters, and his own YouTube channel. He broke through with School of Rock (2003) and voiced Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023). As frontman of the comedy-rock duo Tenacious D alongside Kyle Gass, he has released several albums and won a Grammy. In 2025 he played Steve in A Minecraft Movie, which grossed nearly a billion dollars worldwide.
