About

Ivan Ženatý (b. 1962) is one of the leading Czech violinists of today, a Tchaikovsky Competition laureate and Prague Spring competition winner who has lived mainly in the US since 2012, teaching at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Dresden music academy. The Suk Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1974 and named after composer Josef Suk, is one of the Czech Republic's oldest chamber ensembles, traditionally performing without a conductor. The two frequently appear together in concerts devoted to Czech and international chamber repertoire.
