Isabelle Nanty (born 21 January 1962 in Verdun) is a French actress, director and screenwriter equally at home in comedy and drama. She is best known internationally for playing the hypochondriac Georgette in Amélie (2001) and the matriarch Cathy Tuche across the Les Tuche film series, earning three César nominations along the way. Beyond acting, she directs theatre productions and stand-up shows, including work for Dany Boon.
Nanty attended the funeral of singer Guesch Patti in Paris, with media recording her first public appearance after a long recovery.
Although she was still recovering, Nanty participated in the charity concert Les Enfoirés 2026 broadcast on TF1 - she filmed behind-the-scenes sketches that were inserted into the program.
On September 12, 2025, Nanty suffered a serious car accident on highway A10 in the Yvelines department; the actress was hospitalized with injuries to her ribs and spine.
In October 2025, Nanty was promoted to the rank of commandeur of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture.
In February 2025, Nanty released the fifth installment of the Les Tuche series titled God Save the Tuche in cinemas, which earned over 23 million dollars on the global market.
