Isaac Ignaz Moscheles (1794–1870) was a Prague-born pianist and composer of Czech-German background, and one of the foremost piano virtuosos of his era. He was a close friend and teacher of Felix Mendelssohn, and also had ties to Beethoven and Chopin. His output includes piano concertos, études, and chamber works.
