Inferno is a Czech black metal band from Karviná, active since 1995. Over three decades they have released nine studio albums, moving from raw pagan black metal to avant-garde, industrially tinged soundscapes on the French label Debemur Morti Productions. They rank among the most enduring and respected acts in the Czech extreme metal underground, with a track record of touring across Europe and beyond.
Inferno releases their ninth studio album "The Anthropic Sophisms (On the Heights of Despair)" on July 17, 2026 on the Debemur Morti Productions label.
The band released the first and only single from the new album - the track "Circulus Vitiosus Deus (The Infinity Ravages All)" accompanied by a surrealist music video directed by Fabia Rincones.
The cover of the new album was created by Dávid Glomba (known for collaborations with Ascension, Cult of Fire and Malokarpatan), the mix was done by Tim de Gieter and mastering by James Plotkin.
The album "Paradeigma (Phosphenes of Aphotic Eternity)" was released on Debemur Morti Productions and was received as the band's most ambitious project to date.
