Indigo is a Slovak band that has backed singer, composer and lyricist Peter Nagy since 1984, taking its name from his breakthrough 1983 hit Profesor Indigo. Together they have released over 18 studio albums, making Nagy one of the most prominent figures in Slovak and Czech pop-rock. Over the past fifteen years the band's sound has shifted toward rock, giving older songs a harder edge. In 2009 Nagy was inducted into the Czech Rock Hall of Fame.
Peter Nagy and Indigo performed a charity concert Hudbou pre hladné srdcia in Stará Ľubovňa, with proceeds going to support 72 orphans in Uganda.
In April 2024, Peter Nagy celebrated his 65th birthday and 40 years of the Indigo band on stage with a jubilee concert Peter Nagy 105 at the bratislavskom Stars auditorium.
In October 2021, the retro double album Aj tak sme stále frajeri was released, a selection of 26 recordings from 1984-1990 released on Opus, supplemented with a new remake of Profesora Indiga from 2020.
In May 2021, Peter Nagy with the band Indigo released the studio album Petrolej - the first collection of new songs in twelve years.
