About

Igor Orozovič (born 1984, Prague) is a Czech actor, singer and songwriter. Since 2013 he has been a member of the National Theatre drama company in Prague, where he has played roles ranging from Shakespeare to Chekhov, earning three Thálie Award nominations. Alongside his stage work he pursues a solo music career with his band Igor Orozovič & Co. on the Supraphon label, blending chanson with rock, blues and soul.

    Orozovič released the single Za hory, za doly - a duet with singer Tali, which will also be heard in the film Na horách directed by Rudolf Havlík; Orozovič plays the main male role in it.

    At the ceremonial announcement of the Anděl Coca-Cola 2024 award (April 5, 2025), Orozovič's debut album did not advance to the narrow nomination, but its inclusion in the shortlist in the Solo Artist category was confirmed.

    The Czech Music Academy published the shortlists for the Anděl 2024 award - Orozovič with the album Když chlap svléká tmu made it into the seven pre-nominees in the Solo Artist category.

    In January 2025, Orozovič appeared in a new production of the National Theatre Farářův konec (Josef Škvorecký / Evald Schorm, directed by Jan Mikulášek), where he plays the role of a cantor.
