RapAmbush #5
The fifth edition of RapAmbush hip-hop festival in Boskovice features live performances, DJ sets, and afternoon activities including skateboarding, street art, and socializing.
Hopsen Clark is the stage name of Brno-based rapper Viktor Krejčíř, who derived the alias from a character in the Czech comedy film Muž z Acapulca. His music is rooted in sample-based hip-hop with forays into jazz and breakcore, built entirely from vinyl records sourced at second-hand shops and antique stores. In 2026 he released his sixth album Sprej Času with drummer Šimon Stejskal (Vivace Soundsystem) and launched it at Brno's Kabinet Múz. He also performs as part of the band Protožes To Chtěla.
Hopsen Clark christened the sixth album Sprej Času on March 19, 2026 at the Kabinet Múz in Brno; Vivace Soundsystem, MC Kukin, and Protožes To Chtěla also performed at the christening.
The server Stisk.online published an interview with Viktor Krejčíř and Šimon Stejskal about the creation of the album Sprej Času and their pseudonyms.
The album Sprej Času was released in February 2026; it is composed exclusively of loops from vinyl records, without a single sample downloaded from the internet.
Hopsen Clark and Vivace Soundsystem performed a concert on March 26, 2026 at Klubovna Dejvice in Prague as part of a tour for the album Sprej Času.
The music website HeyFomo included Hopsen Clark among the up-and-coming faces of Czech music and highlighted his upcoming performance in Břeclav.
