Herbert Lom was a Czech-born British actor who built a long career in British and international cinema. He appeared in Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus (1960) and became widely known for playing the increasingly unhinged Inspector Dreyfus in the Pink Panther series. Over his career he took on more than a hundred film roles.
