Helena Vondráčková (born 24 June 1947 in Prague) is a Czech singer and actress whose career spans more than six decades. She launched it in 1964 by winning the talent contest Hledáme nové talenty and went on to become the best-selling Czech recording artist of all time, with over eighty solo albums, more than 1,700 songs recorded in twelve languages, and worldwide sales exceeding 20 million copies. A founding member of the pop trio Golden Kids alongside Marta Kubišová and Václav Neckář, a lead in musicals from Les Misérables to Cats, and a star of the fairy-tale film Šíleně smutná princezna, she is one of the defining figures of Czech popular culture.
