HÄMATOM is a German metal band from Speichersdorf, Franconia, formed in 2004. The four members perform exclusively in elaborate masks and go by compass-point pseudonyms - Nord, Ost, Süd and Rose - making anonymity a core part of their identity. Their sound sits at the crossroads of groove metal and Neue Deutsche Härte, with all lyrics in German addressing social and religious critique. The 2016 album Wir sind Gott reached No. 5 on the German album charts, cementing their place among the country's leading metal acts.
