Hagrid is a fictional character from J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series - a half-giant who serves as Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts and has a soft spot for magical creatures. He is one of Harry's most loyal friends. In the films, he was played by Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane.
