Guy Ritchie (born 10 September 1968) is an English film director, screenwriter and producer. He broke through with the British gangster comedies Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and Snatch (2000), which launched Jason Statham's career. Alongside big-budget Hollywood films such as Sherlock Holmes (2009) and Aladdin (2019), he has in recent years returned to crime storytelling - the Netflix series The Gentlemen and the 2025 Paramount+ hit MobLand rank among his most-watched projects to date.
