Guy Ritchie (born 1968) is an English film director, screenwriter and producer. He made his name with the British gangster comedies Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and Snatch (2000), which launched Jason Statham's career. He later moved into big-budget territory with Sherlock Holmes (2009) and Disney's live-action Aladdin (2019).
