Grotesque Ceremonium is a death metal band from Ankara, Turkey, founded in 2014 by Batu Çetin - the vocalist behind long-running brutal death act Cenotaph. The project draws on the murky, slow-grinding old-school death metal of the early 1990s, citing Incantation and Immolation as touchstones, and by 2025 had grown from a one-man studio project into a full four-piece band with three full-length albums to its name.
The band released their third studio album Beyond the Masters on the Deathrune Records label; for the first time recorded in the full lineup of four musicians.
The Czech webzine Deadly Storm published a review of the album Beyond the Masters and compared the band to Immolation, Incantation, and Dead Congregation.
The album Beyond the Masters was released on vinyl in a limited edition - 188 copies on red splatter vinyl and 158 copies on black vinyl.
The second album Sanctum of Demoniac Deviance was released by the German label Neckbreaker Records on CD and LP in a limited edition of 500 numbered copies.
