Gorillaz is a British virtual band created in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The group is known for its concept of fictional animated members and a genre-blending sound that combines alternative rock, hip-hop, electronic music, and pop. Their acclaimed albums include the debut Gorillaz (2001) and Demon Days (2005).
