Glenn Miller was an American trombonist, composer, and big band leader, one of the defining figures of the swing era in the 1930s and 1940s. His orchestra became famous for hits such as "In the Mood" and "Moonlight Serenade". Miller disappeared during a wartime flight over the English Channel in December 1944.
