Gertrud Fridh (26 November 1921 - 11 October 1984) was a Swedish stage and film actress who trained at the Gothenburg City Theatre's acting school and spent nearly two decades in the ensemble of the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm from 1956. She is best known internationally for her six collaborations with Ingmar Bergman, including Wild Strawberries (1957), The Magician (1958) and Hour of the Wolf (1968). On stage, critics praised her intense, fiery style and distinctive deep voice; her title role in Bergman's production of Hedda Gabler is widely regarded as the peak of her theatrical career.
