Germany's national box lacrosse team competes under the Deutscher Lacrosse Verband (DLaxV), founded in 1998. The men's program was established in 2014 and made its international debut the following year at the World Championship in Syracuse. At the 2022 European Championships on home soil in Hannover, the men reached the final before losing to England; at the 2024 World Championship in Utica they finished 6th - the program's best result to date. The women's team made their debut at the inaugural Women's World Box Championship in Utica in 2024.
The German women's team is preparing for the 2026 European Box Lacrosse Championship in Prague (June 25 - July 4), where women will compete at a European championship for the first time in history.

The German men's team finished in 6th place at the 2024 World Box Lacrosse Championship in Utica (USA) out of 28 participating nations.
The German women's team made its debut at the historic first women's World Box Lacrosse Championship in Utica, where 10 national teams competed.
The German association DLaxV held the first official Lacrosse Sixes championship (6-on-6 format) for men and women in Dresden in August 2025 with record attendance.
