Gedeon Burkhard (born 3 July 1969 in Munich) is a German film and television actor raised bilingually in German and English. He gained international recognition as detective Alexander Brandtner in Kommissar Rex (1998-2001), a series sold to over 140 countries. Film audiences worldwide know him as Corporal Wilhelm Wicki in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009). He comes from an acting dynasty - his mother Elisabeth von Molo is the great-granddaughter of the celebrated Albanian-Austrian stage actor Alexander Moissi.
