František Husák

František Husák (1936-1991) was a Czech actor who worked at theatres in Ostrava, Prague's Činoherní klub, and finally Divadlo Na zábradlí. Film audiences know him best as the timid Ludva in Jaroslav Papoušek's Homolka trilogy. On stage he took on roles ranging from Shakespeare to Chekhov, always with a quiet, understated presence.
