GRAND PRIX OF CZECHIA 2026
The MotoGP World Championship races at the legendary Masaryk Circuit in Brno, featuring the world's top riders including champions Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia.
Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia (born 14 January 1997 in Turin) is an Italian MotoGP factory rider for the Ducati Lenovo Team. He won back-to-back MotoGP world titles in 2022 and 2023 - the first rider to defend the number-one plate since Mick Doohan - and also claimed the 2018 Moto2 championship. He is the first Italian to win MotoGP on an Italian machine and the only graduate of Valentino Rossi's VR46 Academy to take a premier-class world title.
After the race at Le Mans, Bagnaia stated that for the first time in more than a year and a half he feels fast again, despite not finishing the race due to a crash.
According to Italian media, Bagnaia signed a contract with Aprilia for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, rejecting a more financially attractive offer from Yamaha.
During the pre-season tests in Sepang, Bagnaia announced that on the new Ducati GP26 he has regained the feel with the front wheel that he lacked throughout the entire 2025 season.
In the Supernova podcast, Bagnaia admitted that the 2025 season could have gone better and called fifth place in the championship a disappointment.
Bagnaia finished the 2025 season with only two victories (Austin and Motegi) and fifth place in the championship - his worst result since joining the Ducati factory team.
