About

Florence Foster Jenkins (1868-1944) was an American soprano who performed with complete sincerity despite a voice widely considered off-key. She built a devoted following and sold out Carnegie Hall in 1944. Her life has since inspired stage productions and a 2016 film starring Meryl Streep.
