Filip Topol (1965-2013) was a Czech musician, composer and lyricist, best known as the frontman and pianist of the underground band Psí vojáci. He started performing at thirteen and spent years on the margins of the communist-era underground before the band gained wider recognition after 1989. His songs, which he described as a kind of diary, blend rock with a deeply personal, almost literary sensibility.
